Ordering via this website, Facebook, email and telephone you agree to the following terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions apply to all commissions of original drawings and painting by Sarah Davey Artist.
NO variations to these unless specifically agreed with by Sarah Davey in writing.
Photographs
It is down to the client to provide photos of a true likeness/colour/expression of the subject(s) in order for optimum results.
If the individual would like a professionally taken photo to be used as reference, a letter of consent from the photographer MUST be obtained and forwarded on to myself with the photographs. They are artists too, please respect this.
The artist will judge whether or not to accept a commission
A 25% deposit is required for all commissions upon booking
Clients must agree size, paper/material and finish before the commission is embarked upon
A timescale will be agreed for that commission
Regular updates will be provided for the client
On completion, the client will be provided with a proof for approval
Once agreed, balance of payment is due before dispatch of art work
All artwork is provided with a mount and in an clear sleeve
Artwork is packaged flat and posted via Royal Mail to the UK unless otherwise stipulated by client

International customers are responsible for all fees associated with shipping to their respective countries. Orders shipped to countries outside of the UK may be subjected to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; I have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required it can cause delays beyond the original delivery estimates.
Payment should be made via Paypal, Square using a debit or credit card, Bank transfer or cash upon delivery. Please note cheques will only be considered in special circumstances.
RETURNS
Sarah Davey Art will consider a refund on artwork you may be dissatisfied with.
Communication in the commission process is fastidious in order to avoid a situation where a client may be dissatisfied with any art undertaken.
Unsuitable or defective items may be returned for refund providing they are received within 14 day of the original delivery date in brand new, unused condition and in the original undamaged packaging. This must be accompanied with a note stating your name, address, email, contact telephone number, order number and full reason for the return. The final decision regarding the refund is at my discretion.
If the goods are not found to be defective, you will need to pay for cost of returning the goods Proof of posting will be required should an item be lost in transit. Neither refunds or replacements can be made until such proof is provided. It is strongly recommended you get a Certificate of Posting from the Post Office or a receipt from your carrier when you return an item.
Copyright
All copyrights of any artwork remain in the name of Sarah Davey, unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing at the time of ordering. It is explicitly forbidden to reproduce the images and original artwork of Sarah Davey in anyway and in any medium unless clearly agreed beforehand with a standard license contract available on request. This license can be revoked at any time due to breach of contract at the discretion of Sarah Davey. As a copyright holder Sarah Davey reserves the right to use any portrait image or edited image for any publicity on the internet, website, Facebook, exhibition material or other promotional events. The image or edited version may be used on products produced by Sarah Davey. Any requests for portraits not to be used in this way must be expressed in writing within 14 days of completion of your portrait order.
Any authorized reproductions must contain credit to Sarah Davey or artists website. Where digital images are involved the client agrees that the digital images cannot be modified without prior consent and must contain credit to Sarah Davey
COURSES AND TUTORIALS
Courses are non refundable once the course has begun.
Payment in full must be made 7 days before a course commences
No refunds will be given for course places cancelled within 48 hours of the course commencing, unless there is a waiting list and the place can be filled from that
It is up to the discretion of the course provider- Sarah Davey Artist - to issue any refunds for extenuating circumstances. Requests must be made in writing and will receive a response within 14 days
Sarah Davey Artist reserves the right to cancel a course and refund in full any monies received in advance
All tutorials are available at the advertised cost. Once purchased, refunds are not available for online tutorials. A change of mind does not constitute a valid reason for cancellation and request for refund.
